Vintage Reigns in 2011, TAG Heuer Watches Broadcasts the Monza Chronograph Calibre 36 Re-Edition

Limited to 1911 numbered items, Tag Heuer Watches announced the Monza Calibre 36 Re-Edition automated chronograph at Basel 2011. The explanation for the title is that in 1911 the model launched the Time of Trip 12 hour Dashboard Chronograph that was specifically designed for airplanes and cars. This made it easier to measure time within the air or whereas driving and was highly regarded amongst aviators and automotive enthusiasts. This newest timepiece appears to be like virtually exactly like the unique Heuer Monza chronograph that was launched in 1933. Tag Heuer Replica

The re-edition is powered by Caliber 36 automated motion and next to the Mikrograph is the fastest watch movement around. It features a typical pair of chrono pushers situated at 2 and four o'clock. The crown is smaller than the original and is completed is a refined vintage look. The dial has over-sized Arabic numerals with "old rhodium" luminescence coating on them and on the hand markers. Chemin de fer indexes are used in the counters. Defending the white dial is a curved, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. MONZA lettering is at 12 o'clock. Blue hour, minute, second and indicator fingers contrast fantastically towards the white dial.

The case back is done in exhibition styling to permit viewing of the motion and is protected with a sapphire crystal. It is screwed down preserving all the things water tight. There is an inscription of each individual number/1911 displaying it is a numbered limited version in the collection.

The 2 sub-dials measure small seconds on the 9 o'clock position and chronograph minute sub-counters at three o'clock. The dial has black minuterie with 05 to 60 minute indication and the date window might be discovered at 4:30.

The case and bezel are constructed from chrome steel and have a combination of superb-brushed and polished finishes. The form of the case is a cushion design and is 38mm in diameter giving it a smaller profile than most chronographs on the market. It is water-proof against 100 meters and is finished with a brown leather-based strap with the Heuer brand on the internal side. The strap is secured with a folding buckle with security push buttons and the Heuer logo. It is a very appealing classic watch.

Formula One racing comes into the story of the original design of the watch when in 1975 Niki Lauda won the world championship for Ferrari. Heuer was official timekeeper and to honor this win, Jack Heuer reworked an existing 1930's model right into a special restricted edition collection he known as the Monza. This re-edition is part of the classic-impressed Basic Heuer Collection; the Monza stays a favourite among collectors.
